Today we crossed the border to Upper Black Eddy, PA. And we walked up and down the canal path there. One of the things I’ve always loved about the canal paths is that they’re still there!
They’re archaic and unused, and yet they are so neat. We heard a ton of frogs, saw some fish (and a robin’s egg!). And there’s this fascinating nuclear green algae up and down the water. I think it’s actually duckweed, but there’s some algae mixed in with it.
It was a rainy day but that weed is so vibrant t practically glows.
There’s a bunch of effects, but mostly the usual suspects: sprayed strokes for the grass and ocean ripple for the water.
