#311 Catbus

Today we watched My Neighbor Totoro, an excellent Japanese animated movie from the guy who did, well, every great Japanese animated movie: Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo).  The most amazing (and startling moment was the first appearance of the Catbus.

Miyazaki’s animations are astonishing.  And scene after scene looks like it was filmed rather than drawn.  This quick sketch is in no way representative of what  the film looks like, it’s just a quick tribute.

I tried to draw it from memory, but as you can see, I missed a few details (got the number of feet right, though!)
